Ingredients:
– 2 packets red cherry jelly
– 1 packet Tennis Biscuits
– 1 cup milk
– 1 tin Nestle caramel treat
– 3 Peppermint Crisp bars, crushed
– 250 ml whipping cream
– 2 tablespoons icing sugar
– 1 cup fresh cherries
**Instructions:*
1. **Prepare the Jelly:** Start by making the jelly according to the instructions on the packet. Pour the jelly into your chosen bowl or dessert glasses. Allow the jelly to set, ideally overnight.
2. **Prepare Ingredients:** While the jelly sets, prepare the other ingredients. Crush the Peppermint Crisp bars and smooth out the caramel treat with a fork for easy spreading. Pour the milk into a shallow bowl and set the Tennis Biscuits aside.
3. **Whip the Cream:** In a bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, whip the cream with the icing sugar until stiff peaks form. Set aside until needed.
4. **Layer the Trifle:** Once the jelly is set, start layering the trifle. Briefly dip enough biscuits in the milk to create a layer over the set jelly.
5. **Add Caramel and Cream:** Spoon a layer of caramel treat over the biscuits. Follow with a layer of whipped cream, then sprinkle with crushed Peppermint Crisp.
6. **Repeat Layers:** Continue layering with biscuits, caramel, whipped cream, and crushed Peppermint Crisp until all ingredients are used up, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top.
7. **Garnish and Serve:** Top with the remaining crushed Peppermint Crisp and fresh cherries for garnish. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
