Ferrero Rocher Cake
A decadent and indulgent dessert inspired by the classic chocolate hazelnut candy.
Ingredients:
For the cake:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the hazelnut filling:
1 cup hazelnut paste
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup heavy cream
For the chocolate ganache:
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup heavy cream
For the hazelnut praline topping:
1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
1/4 cup granulated sugar
Instructions:
Make the cake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
Combine dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Combine wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
Combine: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool: Let the cake cool completely before frosting.
Make the hazelnut filling: In a small bowl, combine hazelnut paste, powdered sugar, and heavy cream. Beat until smooth.
Make the chocolate ganache: Melt chocolate chips and heavy cream together in a microwave-safe bowl.
Assemble: Layer the cooled cake with the hazelnut filling and chocolate ganache.
Top with hazelnut praline: Sprinkle hazelnut praline over the top.
